Hey all thanks for tuning in. This will be a blog 1. For my journey from farmer, to computer tech, to renewable energy technologist. 2. This is a requirement for a course and thought I'd have fun. I am taking a program called Energy Systems Engineering Technology a 3 yr course. Presently I am staring year 2 sem 3 but don't worry I'll catch you up.
So, 20 some years ago I enrolled at SLC, and took Electrical Engineering Technology for computers. But before that I was a farmer, with my father and brother and sometimes cousins and uncle and my mom(she drove a small tractor and raked the hay). From that humble beginning I learned a lot from compassion to hatred, as well as my love for the environment. Unknowingly starting my path down a long road. I have had many jobs like petroleum transfer Engineer, Seat Finder and drunk tosser, Auction Specialist, tech store manager, coffee slinger, and in house tech wizard. All of which had 1 thing in common, working with people that had questions, and wouldn't you know it I had some answers. Good thing I kinda know what I was doing. While sitting home over the pandemic my wife told me I should go back to school. Seeing how I was phased out by an app, I said why not. My thought was sure I can take this, retrofit my house and maybe just maybe help others to do the same. I already had a successful computer tech biz why not Solar or Wind energy or Geothermal, or all three.
Who knows where I will end up, who knows what I'll settle on but I bet if you follow me......... we may just find out.
Woot! Looking forward to following this puppy!!!
